I've been offered a trade in my NL Only keeper league of Peavy for Braun and Scherzer.

Now get your NL Only Keeper game face on, fellas, meaning, lots of things to consider here... I'm in 1st place by a ton and the guy offering the trade is in 8th place, and not playing to win this year.

Peavy (2nd keeper year) = $35
Braun (2nd keeper year) = $4
Scherzer (1st keeper year) = $8

I have a huge offensive attack and I'm in first in every category except for SB (3rd) and BA (10th), so no worries there. I've been killing them, even while Tulo and Furcal are on the DL.

My question... Which is a better trade for me:

A. Peavy for Braun/Scherzer
B. Peavy for Braun/Parra
C. Peavy for Braun/A. Miller
D. Peavy for Braun/Lowe
E. None of the above... Keep Braun and try and trade for something smaller.

How many years do you keep them? If it's three years, I'd push for D. If it's more than three years, I would not trade Braun away.

This is fine advice. I've been leaning toward D, though sleeping on it a bit has allowed me to come to my senses and stick to the gameplan that has worked well so far and just not do it at all. Last night, the Miller/Jurrjiens combo I have gained me 3.5 points.

It's a 3 year keeper league, so one more year of Braun without having to lose this season makes me happy.

If it's only a 3 year keeper league, then D has to be your choice. Parra, Scherzer and Miller (Andrew I assume) are all very good talents that haven't reached their peaks yet. I would hold onto them to get max value from them.

And honestly, I think Braun for Peavy straight up is more than fair too. Just a thought if you don't want to add a 2nd player.
