No... I live in a relatively high part of Des Moines. The part that was flooded was near the river, though my commute to work is a whole 5 minutes longer than it used to be, which gives me more time to relax to my Hunter S. Thompson books on CD in the car. (the books come with a free year's sample of horse tranquilizers, btw). Yesterday, I took off the afternoon to watch Felix Pie go crazy with that thing he do with his bat at an Iowa Cubs game and set my roster from the game. Pie looked good. Not good enough to add until next year, but as a Cubs fan, it made me believe that they'll at least get a good trading chip for him this year.
In the past few days, I've made a trade, changed my roster to include a shitty outing by Manny Corpas (who is on my team for some reason), and offered trades to people that got back rejection responses such as "LOLOLOL" and "YOU'RE F**** CRAZY" and "EVEN YOUR TRADE OFFERS ARE FLOODED, IOWA!!!" What kindness and compassion!
