Russell Branyan?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Russell Branyan?

Postby IowaCubs » Tue Apr 28, 2009 7:33 am

Did I seriously just consider dropping Giambi for Russell Branyan?
I absolutely hate having to start Giambi at Oakland, and the dude's worthless without the juice. Ugh.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Seems like tomato-tomahto. Branyan just happens to be hot right now. If you were to make that switch, I don't think anyone would grab Giambi, so you can try it. But once Giambi gets hot, you might get scooped.

Thanks for the signature. I changed the URL, cause it didn't seem to be working.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I might just drop Jason Frasor for him. Anyone know the status of the Frasor/Downs situation?

I don't see Frasor getting any save chances. Downs has been the best reliever for the Jays the last 2 seasons and he's been awesome so far this season. He's a machine against lefties, and even the righties can't touch him. Frasor is the current set up man, and although he has been great, I feel he's definitely expendable for you. This is jut my opinion from watching the Jays' games this year.

It's Downs for now, but Frasor's in the wings.

In reference I encourage you to look up Frasor's feeble attempts to close last year. I believe the term is Cuddle Boy.
