Keeping offense over pitching?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Keeping offense over pitching?

Postby apoxonbothyourhouses » Thu Nov 07, 2013 3:53 am

Hey Grey. So, i'm in a keeper league with a bunch of friends (hey fellas, I know you're reading this...), and I'm wondering if I should do what I'm about to do. It's a 266$, OBP 5x5 league. I have the following definite keepers...

Trout - 12$ (our rules allow us to do a 6$ bridge contract and I brought up Trout two years ago) for next year and will probably keep him for 20$ the three years after that,
Goldy - 12$ (two more years)
Cargo - 23$ (two more years)
Hanley - 31$ (one year)

I'm leaning towards keeping:
McCann - 7$(bridge)

Then I have the following who I could keep:
Tulo - 31$ (one year)
Wright -25$ (one year)
Gyorko - 12$ (one year)

I guess my question is this: should I keep those 3 guys and have a juggernaut offense? I'd have to focus on pitching in auction (which is ok). OR should I throw them back and keep the pitchers I could keep(see below):
Medlen - 12$ (one year)
Addison Reed - 7$ (one year)
Verlander - 38$ (one year)

Thanks for reading!
