I could use 4th keeper spot advice

Postby CDB » Sat Oct 12, 2013 6:56 pm

top 3 keepers are Love, Rose, and Monta Ellis...

From there its a drop. Bynum scares the ship out of me but a center might be nice. Lin and Crawford are un sexy...
Leaning towards Kidd-Ghilchrist with upside. Am I crazy?

What would you do?

Cheers. CDB

Not crazy at all! I think I have Lin ranked the highest, but like MKG in the top 100 for his upside. I have Bynum a good bit out of my top 100 and he scares the ship out of me too! Like keeping MKG there.

Alright oh wise one, keepers are all in and I have 1st pick with my inherited team having been the worst last season. Here are the top 10 available players:

Rubio
Leonard
Sanders
P.Gasol
Duncan
Lillard
Smith
Jennings
Ilyaova
Bledsoe Hibbert.

My keepers were:
Rose at PG; Love at PF/C; Ellis at SG; and Kidd-Gilchrest at SF

I see alot of pgs available above even some highly ranked ones but Im leaning towards Sanders to fill a roster void...

What do you think? Best available player or fill the spot with position drop offs? Teague and Calderon are also on the board a bit further down the rankings.

I personally would still take Rubio first, I think he has a big season and with Love able to play the 5 for you too, I think he's best value

Alright. to put an end to the suspense here is my team... my hand was forced on Kiid Gilchrest with that 4th keeper as you know.

Shawn Kemps BabyMama
1. (1) Kevin Love  (Min - PF,C)
2. (20) Derrick Rose  (Chi - PG)
3. (21) Monta Ellis  (Dal - PG,SG)
4. (40) Michael Kidd-Gilchrist  (Cha - SF)
5. (41) Ricky Rubio (Min - PG)
6. (60) Derrick Favors (Uta - PF,C)
7. (61) Thaddeus Young (Phi - SF,PF)
8. (80) DeMar DeRozan (Tor - SG,SF)
9. (81) Enes Kanter (Uta - C)
10. (100) JaVale McGee (Den - C)
11. (101) Victor Oladipo (Orl - SG)
12. (120) Jamal Crawford (LAC - PG,SG)

Probably not a winner, but hopefully it will crawl out of the basement.

I still think that's a solid team. Rose/Love/Rubio I have as top 16 and I think gives you a stronger core than any snake draft team that didn't get LeBron or Durant. Love the Utah bigs and DeRozan as well so I think you'll contend!
