When to drop a player on Yahoo

Postby vanwill9 » Wed Sep 04, 2013 3:30 pm

In a somewhat deep league that includes IDP. I haven't grabbed a kicker yet and trying to decide who to drop.
Narrowed it down to Moreno or Daryl Washington (suspended LB). What I would love to do is see what Moreno does tomorrow night (keep him on my bench obviously) and cut him if the Denver backfield isn't much clearer afterwards or - if he does have a good night then it's safer to cut Washington.
BUT - if I choose to wait and cut Moreno after tomorrow night - does anyone know if the kicker I pick up would then be ineligible to play week 1. If Moreno has played - even if he is on my bench will I be able to drop him for a use-able kicker in week 1?
Does anyone know the answer to this?

I'm uncertain about the rule. I want to say you can play the kicker if you keep them on your bench for the game but I can't say for sure.
