Is it streaming if you add the guy for two starts?

I've gotta say it's not streaming if you hold a guy for more than one start, at least that's the way I see it.

I've been running with Dickey and Zimmerman as my only starters, and for a short time Jose Fernandez and Cashner were held (and those starts go in the full time starters group below). I'm also running with 8 RP usually. So far this is what my pitchers have done on my RCL team which managed back to back top pitching team honors based largely on streaming.

Full Time Starters:
29 GS - 174.1 IP - 127 Ks - 12 W - 3.82 ERA - 1.18 WHIP - 6.6 K/9 - 2.5 K/BB
Streamers:
42 GS - 263.1 IP - 206 Ks - 21 W - 3.42 ERA - 1.23 WHIP - 7.0 K/9 - 2.9 K/BB
Relievers:
164.1 IP - 195 Ks - 8 W - 47 SV - 3.23 ERA - 1.21 WHIP - 10.7 K/9 - 2.8 K/BB

Update:

40 starts, 3.73, 1.240, 18 wins, 178 Ks, 6.92 K/9, 4.45 K/start.

No wins in the last 8 starts. Win percent down to 45% which I can still live with in my streamers.

this is my first season Xstreaming, and thanks to this thread for prompting me to tally my results so far. Not as good as I'd hoped, but, not terrible either! Note I do occasionally also stream middle relievers for holds. Results:

I've streamed 37 different pitchers to date!

IP: 283
W: 14
SV: 2
K: 256 (8.14 K/9)
HLD: 6
ERA: 3.88
WHIP: 1.19

My team pitching stats, including my fixed players, are:

IP: 718
W: 42
SV: 48
K: 713 (8.93 K/9)
HLD: 46
ERA: 3.43
WHIP: 1.12

I was surprised how high my streaming ERA was, but maybe it will catch up with my whip. (I did stream D. Phelps for 0.1 inning and 5 ER, ERA 108.00). On the other hand, I feel like streaming is easier in the early going, as the pool of decent pitchers is bigger before people figure out who's legit and hold them ROS.

Thoughts on my results so far? What's a good wins/IP ratio? Wins are fluky, but it is the tightest category in my league right now.

Not the 1st year to stream but first yr using the stream-o-nator. Its a great tool and has allowed me to use extra roster slots for MRs to build my Holds total.

23 GS - 130.1 IP - 97 Ks - 13 QS - 5.19 ERA - 1.43 WHIP - 6.7 K/9 - 2.1 K/BB - 57% QS percent
ERA & WHIP overinflated by 0.1 IP disaster by Phelps and 0.2 IP disaster by Hughes.
4.46 ERA - 1.33 WHIP without.

Special K: disasters count. gotta avoid as many as possible

6/14 update, mixed bag:
66 different SP
111 GS
717 K
44 W
54 SV
3.204 ERA
1.167 WHIP

That ERA/WHIP has to be competitive with top-line drafted SP.
The K somewhat inflated by GS, but will stand up with filling SP slots with CL/MR.
W is the red herring. I have been streaming SP from SD, MIA, you-name-it-teams that get zilch for run support. 39.6 W% will land me last/near last in W ranking--yuck...
YOU MAY want to consider that in your streaming (obsiously, i have ignored).

BTW: Rudy, The KING:
69 GS
658 K
44 W
53 SV
3.388 ERA
1.196 WHIP

My RCL streaming for My Mustache Has A Mustache as of June 16th.

Full Time Starters:
32 GS - 195.2 IP - 136 Ks - 13 W - 3.73 ERA - 1.15 WHIP - 6.3 K/9 - 2.5 K/BB
Streamers:
50 GS - 318.2 IP - 246 Ks - 27 W - 3.25 ERA - 1.18 WHIP - 6.9 K/9 - 2.9 K/BB

Relievers:
204.1 IP - 248 Ks - 10 W - 63 SV - 3.13 ERA - 1.20 WHIP - 10.9 K/9 - 3.0 K/BB

The ERA from my streamers would be good for second in ERA in my RCL and the WHIP would be middle of the pack. With the exception of WHIP, which is relatively close, my streamers are actually outperforming my full time starters. It's a little odd that the worst group for WHIP is actually my relievers too.

Fred, how much of that is actually from streaming SP? I mean, obviously some of it is from relievers since you've got saves in there, and I'm not sure if you actually drafted and held any SP either. I'm curious what your numbers are strictly for streaming because I would think your ERA/WHIP in particular are probably being propped up a bit by relievers.

Astute question. split:

66 SP (one late drafted and dumped, all streamers, jerome williams tops with 31.1 IP):

686 IP
520 K
42 W
3.33 ERA
1.195 WHIP

56 RP (8 have at least 1 save):

225.2 IP
216 K
5 W
54 SV
2.95 ERA
1.09 WHIP

I drafted a few starters but have only kept hold of 3 for any length of time and only have two of them left that I drafted (dumped Ogando during injury and have kept Scherzer and Samardzija). Thus far I have 282.6 innings of streamed starters for 219 K's, 20 W, 3.69 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. The K-rate is only about 7 per 9 IP but it is somewhat offset by all of the streamed MR, closers (although my closers got snakebit with Hanrahan and Fujikawa going down for the season and recently Betancourt and Perez on DL), and the fact that my two kept starters are two of the leading starters for strikeouts. I don't face a ton of competition for adding streamers but the player pool for them is fairly thin as most seem to have a lot of starters rostered.
