I would be trading away Granderson, KungFu Panda, Chapman, Justin Upton, Shields, Lester, JJ Hardy, Reddick to get Votto, C. Santana, Phillips, Headly, Harper, Smardjia, AJ Burnett, and 1 draft pick next year. This is a dynasty league with contracts that expire. Granderson, Panda have 3 years left that Im giving away. Im gaining Votto, Haper and Phillips with 3 years left though. Good trade?

I find it almost impossible to evaluate gigantic trades like that. Normally trades make sense if they're done to meet needs, but you're basically exchanging half of your roster there. Add in the complications of contracts in a dynasty league, and it's even harder. Maybe it'd be easier if you broke it down position-by-position and added all relevant data for contracts?

This is actually a 3 team deal, I just laid it out as to who I am losing and gaining....OK sow here is how it breaks down position wise....I lose my starting 3B (Sandoval), OF (J. Upton), SP (Shields, Lester) and RP (Chapman). I gain starting IF (Votto), C (Santana), 3B (Headly), Util (Phillips), OF (Harper), SP (Smadjia, Burnett)
My new lineup would be
C...Santana
1B...Fielder
2B...Kinsler
SS...Tulo
3B...Headly
IF...Votto
LF...Harper
CF...Auston Jackson
RF...Morse
Util...Phillips
Bench...JJ Hardy, Lawrie, Butler, Dee Gordon, Reddick, Chris Davis, Gattis, Andrews, Heyward, Ozuna
SP...Kershaw, Felix, Ryu, Pavy, Cain, Iwakuma, Cingrani, Cueto,Burnett, Smardjia
RP...Girili, Marshall, Putz, Mujica, Henderson, Johnson
Prospects...Bundy and Skaggs

As far as contract lengths here is what the players involved have left...
Votto Phillips Harper all have 3 years left
Santana Headley Burnett and Smardjia all are FA after this year
I am losing
Granderson Sandoval with 3 years left
Shields Lester with 2 years left
Chapman Upton have one year left

Again, with the caveat that it's really hard to evaluate big deals like this, I like it for you. Votto and Harper are top-tier talents, and they're well worth losing Upton for. I feel like the SP trade is a bit of a push. Headley vs. Sandoval isn't too big of a difference -- both carry risk but for different reasons. The rest of the trade is Granderson, Chapman, Hardy, and Reddick for Phillips, Santana, and a draft pick, and I think you win that part as well. Finally, the guys with long-term contracts that you're getting (Votto, Phillips, Harper) are better than the guys with long-term contracts that you're losing (Sandoval & Grandy), so you come out ahead there too.

I agree with most of this. The only thing I'd add is regarding the pitching trades. I wouldn't call it a push, but it's not a big step down either. I don't mind the swap of talent, but you're trading 2 pitchers under contract for rentals. I'd take a quick look at what the SP market will be next year since you will have to fill those spots. You are making out with the rest of the trade, so it may be worth it, but I'd want to know if there will be a pitching drought in next year's draft. Worth taking into account IMO.
