Jesus Montero

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Is it too early to cut Montero for Avila given Wedge's statement that he will not be playing everyday?

I cut him a week ago and have not looked back.

If you are in a 1 catcher league with plenty of other options on the wire, no reason t wait around for him. If he gets hot you can always pick him back up again.

I dropped Jesus for Gattis a month ago and have been quite pleased. There must be better options on the wire, he has been abysmal since the start of the season.

I am thinking about this as well. Giving it one more week. I was expecting a big year from Jesus.

I have the same problem. The other option would be trading something you have an abundance of to a person who is needing that said abundance and they happen to have two catchers and they could afford to trade one of them.

Is Carlos Ruiz available in your league? He's worth an add and then I'd start him over Montero once Ruiz starts playing again (next week I think).

As for Montero or Avila, I think it's a toss up between the two. Avila gets more starts and is in a better lineup, hits in the same 6th-7th hole in the lineup. I think they both have bad splits. Toss a coin...?
