Ok, so my team is in my signature. I was offered BJ and Jarrod Parker for Choo and Milone. Not really sure what to do here. I know BJ, from a rankings stand point, is better than Choo. However, while I may be getting a slight tick up in hrs and sb, I'm really worried about what it would do to my avg and obp.

I think I'd be gaining a bit of an advantage on the pitching side but I'm more concerned with what would happen to my offense.

Should I accept the deal, ask for a better pitcher back, or reject and stand pat? Thanks guys!

you always can ask for more 8-)

I'm not a great Choo-fan, cause his stats have declined in the past seasons, is not that force anymore, that we used to know. Maybe he gets a fresh start at his new team but I think he'll put 2012-numbers on the board and maybe a stint to the DL as well.

You can afford the avg. Your team is stacked. With no drains yet

Would you consider Wilin to be a drain? Sure, he'll hit 25 hrs, but he'll prob hit .250-.260 in the process.

The diff in avg from Choo to BJ will prob be .40 points and the diff in obp will be .50 points. Is that worth the extra steals(10-15) and hrs(5-7)?

Catchers don't play every day. A lot of your team can hit .300+. If you are able to average .280 you are still ahead

So the consensus is to make the deal? Would you say it's a pretty fair trade for both parties? The guy who offered the deal said he wanted to upgrade his avg/obp stats. Or would you say that the BJ side is winning pretty heavily?

I don't think the pitching is significant and I would rather have upton so you are winning in value but not by too much

So, I'm still waiting for the guy to propose the BJ+Parker for Choo+Milone trade. I was talking to one of my friends who is pretty on top of fantasy and he was going on and on about how it would be a bad trade for me bc BJ would hit .240 and be such a drain on my avg/obp compred to what Choo would give me. I know BJ will give me more hrs and steals but I'm having a bit of a hard time deciding what I should do with this deal? Really need your opinions Grey/razzballers. Thanks!!!!

One player doesn't kill your average. Yea it isn't great but he helps everywhere and the rest of your team still keeps your average good. I don't know what else you need to hear.

Listen to Bourne. I actually like Choo this year and made sure was on my team, but I never miss an opportunity to upgrade my power. You can find cheap guys to shore up your average if things get bad, but I think you'll be alright.
