W, whip, era, k's, k/w ratio (s don't apply here) :
Open roster spot deciding between Hammel, Pettitte, Marcum or Milone?
How would you rank these options, any must grabs?

whether anyone is a must-grab depends on your league set-up...esp. number of teams...type of league....also what the rest of your team looks like...please post the details.

Milone is a good pitcher but you can`t pitch him in hitter-friendly parks...can pitch him at home....be mindful of visiting park.

Marcum is a good pitcher...good park...lousy team...but he will be injured throughout the year...he`s injured now.

Pettite...good veteran pitcher...but nothing special.

Hammel...undervalued...had knee problems last but was pitching very well before then...he`s the Orioles opening game starter...if you have room on your bench...I`d scoop him up...but my answer might change based on your team and league setup.

Yeah, forgot to mention It's a 10 team league. Hammel is already gone actually. My team is ; Salvador, Pujols, Kinsler, Tulo, Panda, BjUp, DJennings, Morse, Frazier & Cabrera in 2 UTs & Gardner on the bench. (grandyman & Ortiz on DL) pitchers r Kershaw, Lee, Doc, Peavy, . Thanks, BTWFiers,Estrada, Beckett, Pettitte & Shelbyville (& beachy on DL) went with Andy as u can tell, he seamed the safest route, time will tell. I might look Milone's way if he pitches in the 1st 3 games (which would be at home& @ Seattle

Your pitching looks pretty good...batters too...studs in the infield...no stud OFs but solid all around which is good.

What I`d probably do is pick up Marcum soon...check on his progress...he should be ready for week 2...even if he has injury problems he`s still a decent pitcher in a good ballpark...and if he goes on the DL, Ortiz should be back sometime in April (I`m assuming you have 3 DL slots)...you`d be able to slot Marcum in that DL spot if he had problems...I do like Marcum more than Pettite...both would be injury risks with Marcum being a higher one

Worse comes to worse...you stream pitcher with that slot...not a bad idea...assuming you have enough free roster adds on a weekly basis.
