Laroche/Belt

Postby SilverPickles » Sun Mar 31, 2013 10:34 am

I have both Belt and Laroche on my team. They seem sort of redundant to me, and I'd love to drop one of them. Go with Belt's upside? Is Laroche droppable in a 12 team mixed 5x5 keeper?

Thoughts on who to pick up:
Joe Blanton
Jose Fernandez
Bronson Arroyo
Andrew Cashner (stash - relief benefits)
Billy Hamilton (stash - my SS is Aybar)

Thanks

If those are your only two 1Bs, then you should hold LaRoche. You could drop Belt for Fernandez.

They aren't my only two 1Bs. Sorry, should have clarified more. I have Votto at 1B and also have A-Gone and Chris Davis in the OF, who also qualify at 1B.

Yeah, get rid of Belt. He might have a nice year, but I don't think you really need him.

I'm really surprised no one has suggested trying a trade first. Take whichever of those you'd rather get rid of (Belt has major buzz right now and LaRoche is coming off a career year, package them with a decent starting pitcher and get a player who'll make your team (OF or SP, etc.). If nobody bites in a day or so... then think about dropping.
