I just drafted.. how is my team?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

I just drafted.. how is my team?

Postby jason20000 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 7:50 am

I think my hitting depth is challenged.. could use one more bat on the bench. Also, I'm not sold on Alvarez.

For now, I'm considering picking up Dominick Brown for hitting and also considering picking up Sergio Santos so I can sub him in on off-days as a closer (he's closing for now, right?).

1) Should I pick up either up and if so, for whom?

I know Kyle Lohse is not with a team yet, but I have him on my team b/c of the QS stat -- he seems to do well with getting them.

2) I'm also considering trading for Mark Trumbo, whom I can plug in at 3rd and provide extra OF and 1B depth as well.
What would be a fair trade to get him (and should I do it). The team that has him wants an OF or SP, and is not interested in Choo.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm in a 12 team mixed head to head league with the following stats:

Batters Stat Categories:
Runs (R), Hits (H), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS)

Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL, DL

Your offense is very stacked. Closers are great. You will have trouble with those SP's. I'd trade a big bat for some pitching

6x6 roto 12 team with OBP & XBH & K/BB & QS
C-Castro
1b-Butler
2b-Gyorko (keeper 15th Rnd)
SS-Elvis
3b-Beltre
IF-Middlebrooks
OF-Adam Jones
OF-Chris Carter
OF-Rios (keeper 5th Rnd)
OF-Pence (keeper 7th Rnd)
UTIL-Todd Frazier
--------
SP-Bumgarner
SP-Latos
RP-Janssen
RP-Greg Holland (keeper 13 Rnd)
P-Jim Johnson
P-Liriano
P-Masterson
B-Matt Moore
B-Zach Wheeler
B-Ian Kennedy
B-Ervin Santana

The following pitchers are available:
Jamie Garcia
Wei Yin-Chen
Wandy Roodreiguez
Paul Malholm
Chris Capuano
Chad Billingsley
Andrew Cashner

Are any worth owning over any of the players on my current roster?

Those guys left are trash with a side of flies. Cashner should be ready to go by the end of April right? Should prolly get him before his first 5 inning, 8 K performance. Jhoulys Chacin is supposedly healthy, and would be worth monitoring. I can't imagine he's been picked up.
