Earlier today I was offered his Bryce Harper and Alcides Escobar for my Shin Soo Choo, Jose Reyes and Rafael Betancourt. I'm a huge Harper fan and since word came out that he will hit 3rd for the Nats I feel like he could have a huge season. I don't necessarily hold closers in high regard so I won't really miss Betancourt and let's be honest saves pop up all the time. I would hate to lose Reyes but you gotta give a little to get a little. Should I take it?

It is an ok deal. Seems a little over priced giving both Choo and Reyes. Honestly there is a chance Choo puts up numbers similar to Harper. I could see doing the deal but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if you look back at this deal at the end of the season and rethink this deal.

This is under the assumption that this isn't a keeper league. If it is a keeper league, then it changes everything.

I agree...non-keeper...you shouldn't be giving up that much for Harper...Reyes is the best player in the deal...he hits for avg...steals bases...playing in hitter-friendly park...stacked team...Choo could perform at par with Harper or better...both play on good teams.

I wouldn't be selling the farm...see if you can work out another tea....the difference between Reyes and Escobar is miles apart...there are only a few elite options at SS and Reyes is in the top tier for sure. Rafael is a throw-in.

If you will enjoy Harper on your team (with all the good and the bad) then do the deal without Rafael in the deal...Reyes and Choo give you the best chance at winning though....Harper should outperform Choo but he might not...Reyes will definitely outperform Escobar...all things remaining the same.

It's a moot point now. He pulled the offer Tuesday night.

Look on the bright side...it's not a keeper league (it seems)...and you still get to watch Bryce play.
