I know Agonz is the immediate answer...but

I own Butler and prefer to keep him at 1B and go in to the auction with a free U spot

sale is .05 yes a nickel

and agon is 1.50 (also cheap but a nickel pitcher is practically free, $40 roster)

I'm thinking about whether Sale can perform at least perform above average this year and have long-term keeper value as opposed to Agon?

Salary only goes up 10 cents a year per player so if Sale is worth it, especially long term then I could still own him 5 years from now at 55 cents...

I would be fine with it. Long term is going to be hard to answer with any pitcher. Sale has had some interesting injury question marks that would make me worried about him for very long but that doesn't mean something will ever happen. For that kind of price and how young Sale is I would do this deal.
