There are two early mock draft results out there on the interwebs, one on Fangraphs' Rotographs site and another from the Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA), both worth checking out.

Gio went 47 at Fangraphs and 86 in FSTA (where pitching went very late). He seems to be overshadowed by Strasburg and maybe has some non-believers out there. I think he'll see some regression. The key will be repeating his lowered walk rate.

You guys buying into Gio ?

I don't think he's going to fall much worse than 15th best SP this year, which is still totally fine... Could see some walk regression...

I probably won't be buying but I am don't but pitchers early very often and if I do, I usually am only getting elite guys. I do think Gonzalez can get close to a repeat although some regressions should be expected. Really comes down to the wins IMO. I just don't think he wins 21 games again so hopefully people aren't buying him thinking that is repeatable. Everything else looks alright. K/9 has been up three years in a row. BB/9 has been down three years in a row (although last year it dropped further than it had before but that could also be him pitching in the NL)

In an RCL league, how late are you waiting on pitching? Obviously things change draft by draft, but philosophically, when are you jumping on an SP? 4th round? 7-8th? Later?

Uh oh, Gio. He's got deep ties to Miami. Not surprised to find him on that list. This could get ugly. Interesting how PEDs seemed to help Gio and Bartolo throw strikes. Guess you have confidence and a little improvement in velocity, you trust your stuff and pound the zone.
