I got 2 trades in the works. J upton / heyward owner wants tulo, I'd want upton BUT, there is some talk he goes to padres, so I've been stalling. This is worst case scenrio I guess, so if that were to happen how far would you drop him from the #10 overall spot? Other deal, which would have to happen first is Desmond Jennings for Reyes (tried to get Castro but not to be and he has Reyes as well) . If upton were to go to San Diego, would heyward make more sense?? Thanks in advance!

I might be in the minority here but I like Tulo the most of the three. I know Tulo has his injury history but Upton isn't consistent either. When both are at their best, I would probably go Upton but Tulo is a more sure thing that when he plays he will be one of the best in baseball. Upton doesn't have that.

As for Heyward, I like him but not quite that much yet. He probably will eventually get into the Tulo range but I think it is another year before we see that.

So saying all that, I think you should be able to get more than Upton or Heyward in a deal for Tulo.

As for worrying about where Upton might land, I wouldn't. SD is bringing the fences in which will help things and he just as easily could land in Texas. Trade for the player and not where he plays.

yea, its a bit of tomato tamato...Was a solid plan when Castro was the intended SS target. Even if Upton isn't quite the value of Tulo, if he stays healthy he'll carry more trade value becaues Tulo will always have the injury label. Thanks for the opinion...

I also like Tulo better than Upton or Heyward for 2013.
