Drafting Strategy Moving Forward

Postby Bluebomb » Mon Jan 14, 2013 2:10 pm

16-team ESPN 5x5 OBP League
C Wilin Rosario (9)
1B Paul Konerko (6)
2B Brandon Phillips (5)
3B Ryan Zimmerman (3)
SS
OF Carlos Gonzalez (1)
OF Michael Bourn (4)
OF Josh Willingham (8)
UTIL×2

SP Clayton Kershaw (2)
SP Jarrod Parker (10)
RP×2
P Aroldis Chapman (7)
P×3

BN×5

I've added some power in Willingham and Rosario, but am I still unbalanced?. I oughta start moving on RPs now, since 12 have already come off the board. But should I take 2 closers or one and a UTIL hitter or 2 RPs?

I'm gonna take another couple of starters in a few rounds. Also, I keep a bunch of non-closer RPs on my roster to lower ratios, give me Ks, and give me the advantage if a closer goes down. Also the spare save every once in a while. I like the strategy.
[size=85]ESPN 16-team (5x5 w/ OBP H2H):
IF – Rosario, Konerko, Phillips, A. Ramirez, Zimmerman
OF – CarGo, Bourn, Willingham
UTIL – Crisp, Duda, Carroll [BN]
SP – Kershaw, Chapman, Parker, Buchholz, Milone, Luebke [DL]
RP – Reed, Perkins, Storen, Santos, Gregerson
(2*SP, 2*RP, 4*P)

I think you are doing fine. Give us some names at closer, sp and hitters and we can help that way. Not sure I would take a closer if tugger was something better on the board.
