Im in 10-team H2H yahoo points league. We have had a lot of managers stream their pitchers as a strategy. I mean, I was doing it too haha. But I just wanted to see what other leagues do... Would a limit on SP's used per week work? Does yahoo have that option in their settings? If so, what would be a good number? We have tried cutting the transactions down to 2 per week last year, but people would still stream.
Thanks

A weekly limit could help but odds are teams will still stream pitchers but instead of looking for two start pitchers they will be looking at matchups. Of course having a transaction limit will keep curtail it even more.
Another idea is to put in a yearly start limit. Just multiply how many starters you want in a starting lineup and multiply by 33. So a 5 SP squad would give you 165 starts all year and it is up to the manager to figure out when to use them. You can allow teams then to start as many starters as they want each week (probably still limit them to maybe 7-8 starters).
I have both going on in a couple of my leagues and each has a different strategy. I think I prefer the weekly limit because you don't have to think about anything, you just start everyone you can. A yearly limit, you start looking at matchups and stuff like that. You might stream a start when you see a particularly good matchup (ie someone against San Diego) but come the end of the season, you change who you start based on how many starts you have left.
