Deep 12 team AL only league with big player value inflation due to a two round minor auction (x contracts). 30% increase in c and d contracts. $260 to spend. I am not worried about positions as much as value.
Solids keepers? Seager 5c, doumit 3b, Brett Anderson 3b, Wei-yin Chen 1b, Rodney 12b, Sale 3d, Wilhelsmen 5b.
That leaves three of the following: Adam Jones 29c Justin Moreau 20c Jered weaver 35 b Mike aviles 2c Andy dirks 4c Jeff niemann 3b
I am leaning towards aviles (mi's tend to go for a premium in our league), niemann and Moreau. I am a sucker for value over quality.

Jones, Morneau, Dirks...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is. Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions. Is your league H2H? Roto? I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from. If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters. I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I think I would Jones and Weaver. They might be a little pricey but they still seem like values in an AL only. I like value as well but you still need production. You are willing to spend $20 on Morneau but not an extra $8 on a more proven player. What do top SP go for in this league?
Last spot I would be fine with Dirks or Aviles.

Thanks for the response, Mauddib. Grey always weighs in, it is nice to find someone else who understands the difference between AL-only (real roto baseball) and both league - leagues (you might as well play fantasy football).
I actually had a mis-type, Jones is only 27 not 29. The reason I am leaning away from Jones (I am trying to talk myself into this, I will probably end up keeping him, he is one of my favorite players) is OF is the one spot that can be found in our league. I hear you when you call him proven. 80/30/80/15/.285 are nice numbers to have in the bank. If I don't keep him I won't trade him and I will try ot get him back. I would guess I can get him back for $33.
You asked about pitchers. Weaver for 35 is a great price. If I don't keep him I will be able to shop him for a pick. Felix went for 44 last year, that was the top price. CC for 41, Verlander for 40. Price was still under a minor contract and was kept for $9. He should go for 42 or so this year to give you an idea of prices. I will have to wait to see if Neimann has a rotation spot, that could drive this decision. I agree with your idea on my last stop - I am leaning towards Aviles over Dirks.
