Trade Offer Evaluation

Postby Heraldo » Thu Oct 18, 2012 8:07 am

Send:
Alfred Morris, Antonio Brown, and Mikel Leshoure

Receive:
DeMarco Murray*, Larry Fitzgerald, and Giants D/ST

Other team does not have 2 RB's to start this week (Murray hurt + byes), so he's kinda in a rough spot.
I think my love for Morris is clouding my ability to properly evaluate this trade.

Thanks for the help, Sky.

Trading for a defense? Not for me.

Well in lieu of that, how does this proposal look:

Send:
Marshawn Lynch and Mikel Leshoure

Receive:
Demarco Murray and Larry Fitzgerald

Lynch's ROS schedule makes me a little nervous, Murray's looks better.

Thanks again.

And to clarify so you don't have to look it up:
Lynch (7 @SF, 8 @Det, 9 Min, 10 NYJ, 11 BYE, 12 @Mia, 13 @Chi, 14 Ari, 15 @Buf, 16 SF)
6 Good Run Defenses(SF Twice, Min, Mia, Chi, and Ari) in the next 10 weeks

Murray (7 @Car , 8 NYG, 9 @Atl, 10 @Phi, 11 Cle, 12 Wsh, 13 Phi, 14 @Cin, 15 Pit, 16 NO)
Not so much.

Might be overthinking it a tad.

Two concerns with the trade there.

1) You're losing RB depth in that trade and I don't know that Fitz makes up for that

2) Murray's injury is something to be thought about. I have heard there were differing opinions on when he should/would return. That worries me.

Overall, though I understand your statement concerning the matchups, I don't know if I trust Murray's health enough to trade away RB depth. And actually, if you have Morris & Mikel, you can simply play matchups. I'd much rather do that if I were concerned with the matchups involved.
