Grey: I'm clinging to first place in one league and can start 2 more pitchers before limiting out on innings. I need stats (ERA/Ws/WHIP) so sitting on my lead is not the best plan - of course, a really bad start could finish me off. Which two would you use today and tomorrow:

Gallardo
Capuano
Hefner
Wood
Diamond

Kershaw is slated to start for the Dodgers tomorrow (Wednesday). Unless there are injury concerns (arm or hip) for Kershaw I think that the Dodgers will leave it up to him if he wants to start (to end the season on a high note?) even if they are eliminated today. So I think Capuano is off the table, but who knows.

The Brewers have left it up to Gallardo if he wants to start tomorrow. I would be looking for confirmation on that before adding him. I would be adding Gallardo if any of my opponents had adds, especially if your internet research over the next few hours thinks that he's leaning toward playing.

I'd stay away from Hefner. I'd consider Diamond but anything can happen in Toronto and that could mess up your ERA and WHIP...so wait on Diamond.

Looks like Smyly will get Scherzer's start tomorrow vs. KC...if he's available I'd role with him before Travis Wood.

I think Wood is a decent add though. If Smyly is not available I'd roll with Wood. Wait on my last add.

If Tillman is somehow available, he'd pitch if the Orioles can still win or tie the division tomorrow. I'd put him above Smyly or Wood.

I don't see how you could be in first and need stats... The 2nd place guy is throwing guys and could overtake you? If so, I'd start Wood and Gallardo... I don't love them... And prefer not to start them... I agree with the above, there may not be a Gallardo start... Then I'd go with Diamond, pretty ugly start to ride your season on though...

I'm up in the league by 1 point and tied with the 2nd place guy in W's and barely ahead of him in K's. I picked up as many of the starters as I could but he's streaming too so could grab a W and overtake me in Ks. Thanks for the input - I'll see what happens tonight and decide who to roll out tomorrow.
