The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions. Is your league H2H? Roto? I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from. If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters. I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Hehe.
He was on that screenshot of today's starters that I posted here last night (my time) -and we both agreed that Gio was better than anyone on that list...

Knowing what I know right now, I still wouldn't pick him up. Actually, I wouldn't pick him up for the rest of this game.

Quite so - there was nothing to suggest that he should be picked up.
He has just singled and scored, though.
Which is more than a lot of my hitters seem to be capable of...
Do you think Carlos Pena is getting hot? He is on the wire in my league and would be 'fighting' with Hawpe and Bruce for playing time in my Util spot, but he's worth the pickup, no?

Yeah, Carlos Pena should've been picked up three weeks ago.

While I wouldn't pick up Karstens over Gio, he was posting decent numbers at AAA: 7.21 K/9, 1.97 BB/9, w/ normal BABIP and LOB%, for an ERA of 3.80 and a FIP of 3.77. Wait a minute! These numbers are almost identical to Eric Stults'! Is Eric Stults in the witness protection program or something?
Astoundingly, Eric Stults pitched a 4 hit complete game shutout in his second appearance for the Dodgers.
That has got to be the greatest argument for not picking up Karstens that I could think of.

Wow, that might be the best thing I've read in a while. Nice. That's going in tonight's roundup.

I picked up Karstens in my Razzball league. Ugh. Completely ruined my team's stats today. I got such a bad start out of Garrett Olson...all ruined...
