I know it early but!!

Postby lowertc » Fri Apr 09, 2010 3:44 am

I am in the bottom for R, H, HR Std 5x5 ROTO. I have tried to move some speed for power but no luck! Is my pitching good enough to trade anyone? I don't think so. What type of bat should i be looking for in return? I dont see it getting much better... I took this team after a outo draft and did add Braun from HamRam

WHAT TO DO?????????

First, you should probably work the waiver wire to shore up your pitching staff and hitting. There have to be better pitchers out there then Carmona and a better utility option than Suzuki.

Read Grey's rankings by position (all the way through) and find some upgrades. They're out there. Trading won't fix this team.

I am not bad on the pitching side of the stats. I have read the rankings, There really is not a lot available! Hoping for Berkman to come back soon and waiting on Beltran.

You look fine because Arroyo, Beurle, and Masterson all had good games the first week. If you think you can roll with that staff, fine.

What is on the wire as far as hitters? There have to be some better OF out there that would be suitable over Suzuki.

I'd probably cut Suzuki and pick up Cuddyer. You really can't afford to have another DL guy, but Suzuki isn't going to get you anywhere. I think if you wait on Cuddyer, someone is sure to pick him up in a few days.

JMO. See what Grey thinks.

I assume that's Kurt Suzuki and not Ichiro. Right now I'd go Kouz then Frenchy. You are really going to struggle in the power numbers, you'll likely lead in R and SB and be near the bottom in HR and RBI's. You may be able to unload some of that speed in a month or so when guys in the middle of the pack are willing to unload some power for SB's. You are going to have to scour the WW for a closer too.

Bailey are Carmona are gonna give you a headache all season long I think.

Pretty much agree this except for liking the addition of Cuddyer. The only way this team has a chance in this league is if Berkman and Beltran come back strong. Throw another injury risk like Cuddyer in there and he could have a very powerful lineup by June.

I'd almost suggest getting Rudy's sleeper closer Gutierrez (AZ) but where is the roster spot for that?

I don't see where Cuddyer is an option for him? If he is, then yes, grab him immediately. He is not in his guys listed on the wire. If that trash heap is all he has to choose from, not sure why Cuddyer would be there.

Beltran and Berkman HAVE to come back healthy and hitting for this guy.

A trash heap it is!!!! Seems like no one will trade either... I can try to move Zack g for a 2nd tier pitcher and a power hitter????
