I never felt in synch with this draft, and I got punked a couple times on folks I was eyeing. At one point I panicked about the lack of power left on the board, and I over-reached for Ortiz in round 12. I hoped to grab Ian Stewart on the way back, but he was gone, forcing the suck-lanco pick in round 15. I punted catcher until the 19th round, then backloaded the pitching and bench with multi-position guys. Joba was drafted for holds, mostly due to his SP eligibility.

I am now desperately waiting on the Rangers to finally DL Kinsler so I can grab somebody...but the pickings are thin in 2B/SS. Who would you get of Adam Kennedy, Clint Barmes, Skip Schumaker, Felipe Lopez, Ian Desmond? Alberto Callaspo is also out there too, and I may jump on him if the reports of better health seem true.

I am a Desmond believer. I am willing to give Sean Rodriguez a shot as well, although you didn't mention him. Your team looks pretty good to me.

Callaspo starts the season hitting 3rd....he might be a good fill in while Kinsler is on the DL

Desmond has the upside thought.

You and Polanco should get a room together. I agree with your assessment, not much to add. Someone already told you Desmond, which is what I would've said.
