Just wondering when everyone starts to get aggressive in filling their needs?
For example, last year, I looked at pre season projections and my team was very low in batting average and I decided to wait 2 months to pursue it an my the time June rolled around I was second in average.
Right now, I am showing that I am ranked as follows on offense in a 14 team league, should I start now or wait to use trades to gain in categories, based on projections?
AVG- 5th
HR- 11th
RBI- 12th
RUNS- 13th
SB's- 6th
I used Razz rankings and 90% off the time I took the highest value player possible according to position need. Granted the projections I use for determining where I rank pre season are CBS, but still.....
14 team 5x5 roto
C- AJ Pierzynzki 1B- Adrian Gonzalez 2B- Clint Barmes SS- Alexei Ramirez 3B- David Wright MI- Ian Desmond CI- Carlos Pena OF- BJ Upton OF- Nick Markakis OF- Adam Jones OF- Alex Rios OF- Travis Snider U- Vladimir Guerrero U- (Flavor of the week) Brendan Ryan right now
DL- Carlos Beltran
Most reserves are pitchers but I do have 7 reserve spots and Tyler Colvin is my only reserve hitter.
I did not plan on owning Pena or Beltran but Pena at pick 99, and Beltran at pick 211 was to hard to pass on.
