First roto league

Postby inertiatic » Wed Mar 31, 2010 10:23 pm

I'm in my first roto league this year and I'm wondering how I did (team in sig). I tried to be balanced with homers and steals while still getting a good pitching staff.

We have a 162 max GP and 1400 IP cap. I have no offensive bench players at the moment, but probably too many pitchers for the IP max. I'm thinking I should trade a SP (other than my top 3) but what should I target? Power? Speed? AVG? I was thinking maybe package Kinsler with a Billingsley or lower for a top power guy?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

SS- Tulo
OF-(start 3) Braun, C. Davis, Kemp, Marte, Cuddyer
UTIL- Votto, one of the above OF
Bench- 1 spot for a hot-schmotato

SP- Greinke, Latos, M. Moore, Medlen, Iwakuma, Hamels, Gausman, E. Ramirez, H. Bailey, T. Walker, J. Tallion, M. Pineda, I. Nova

Team looks a little light on power, not terrible. I'd trade Kinsler and Scherzer for Braun, Howard or Fielder, in that order, can't ever have too much power in this shallow of a league. Your speed should be fine from the guys you have at UTIL or guys on waivers. Your pitching's real nice. Overall, solid team.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Thanks Grey! I've got an offer out for Braun and I'll go from there.
