10 Team, H2H, 5x5, $260 Auction

This is the one I've been preparing for. Weird group of managers, though. All friends, all have specific tastes, so you can't count on anything going "as planned", regarding who's going to be "paid for" and who'll be ignored like the chubby girl with braces during spin the bottle. Have to grab opportunities when you see them, then work around those decisions. So even though I normally go for Utley and Longoria, I had no way of knowing if they'd be fought over (they were... I didn't take either). Pujols, Hanley, Kemp and Miggy are guys I never go after, but at $34, $31, $30 and $28 respectively, those be the opportunities I felt I had to grab.

Ended up with a roster that is short on R and HR (not by much in either) and pretty much good to go everywhere else. I'm not happy with my outfield as a whole, but with this infield, I don't see how it wouldn't be possible to work a trade or two to get the R and HR I'm missing. Or maybe I won't even bother... if this were a roto league, I'd be sending out offers. But this is head-to-head, and I feel pretty confident taking this squad into battle.

C - Geovany Soto
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Brandon Phillips
3B - David Wright
SS - Hanley Ramirez
CI - Miguel Cabrera
MI - Ian Stewart
OF - Matt Kemp
OF - Shin-Soo Choo
OF - Rajai Davis
OF - Nolan Reimold
OF - Dexter Fowler
UTIL - Rickie Weeks

P - Zack Greinke
P - Clayton Kershaw
P - Josh Johnson
P - Ricky Nolasco
P - Frank Francisco
P - Brian Wilson
P - Octavio Dotel
P - Carlos Marmol
P - Leo Nunez

BE - Max Scherzer
BE - David Price
BE - Aroldis Chapman

I agree, your infield is stacked your outfield is weak. They're will be outfielders to grab during the season to bulk up there if you need to. Your pitching is also strong. If this is the *the* team, then I think you should be happy. Solid core group of guys.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Thanks. Yeah, this is the THE league, and I am definitely happy.

I'm considering dropping Rickie Weeks for Kyle Blanks in the UTIL slot. Blanks should get more HR, RBI and a better AVG. I'm WAY good on SB, so I'm not worried about losing those. Losing the Runs will hurt, but that's just one category and this is an H2H league.

Basically, it comes down to this... would I rather be a little short on Runs and a little short on HRs... or would I rather be very short on Runs but good on HRs? Opinions?

I'd hold Weeks for now.

Yeah, I slept on it and decided it would be smart to see the dude log a few more MLB ABs before jumping on board. With this team, I've already got as many fliers as I'm comfortable with (or need to take on, more importantly). Thanks, once again, for the advice.

Roster hasn't changed at all. Thinking about dropping Chapman to pick up Slowey. My "smart" side tells me to take the safer bet in Slowey (I feel like he's going to be picked up any day now in this league). My "gambler" side tells me Chapman's worth waiting a month to see where he's at.
