Don't like the end of your draft, from round 15 on. What's with all of the setup men? Were the closers taken already? Is this a Holds league? Trying to vulture saves? Don't love the last two starters you took either. Don't love your two utility men either. These are actually small grievances though. The core of your team is very solid.

Yea, for the most part the closers were gone. No, it wasn't a holds league. I was trying to go with the 'grab as much value as I could' approach. I was trying to grab as many starters as I could - when you say the last two starters I assume you mean Lowe and Pineiro?I was trying to go with ten batters and the rest pitchers. I lost track of that a bit as I watched most of the well-known batters get taken so I got nervous and just took whoever was there. If the core looks okay then I guess that's good.

Last night I was talking with a friend of mine who is in my league. He's a pretty fantasy baseball savvy and pretty knowledgeable about baseball in general. He happened to be doing a mock draft as we were talking and he was dictating to me who he was getting and when. So, I said something like, "haha, these guys are idiots! send me the results when you're done so I can see who they took." It turns out that we will be following pretty much the exact same strategy come draft day. I've been in the same league for the last five years so I know the tendencies of everyone for the most part, and it seems he is probably the only other one that will follow a strategy similar to what you suggest. My question is, do I adjust for this? If so, how?

I know you'll be honest either way, but I'm actually pretty satisfied with this team and would probably look to duplicate it in my real draft. I wanted Tex or Cabrera for 1b and they were each taken within the two picks before me in the 2nd round. I also was going to get Zimmerman for 3rd but he was take two picks before me again, so I did what I could.

I think the team looks pretty solid. Only issue is I think you're pretty short on steals.

I just found out the draft order for my 10 team league. I will be drafting third. I know you like to have power at the corners and I tend to feel the same way, but should I be passing up on Utley for someone like A-Rod? On that second mock (posted below) I didn't, I took Utley and the team turned out to be pretty solid so I'd like to try and duplicate that in the real deal. Also, I just want to know if there was any other area of the draft I could have improved upon that you can tell? The league looks to be pretty competitive this year. Thanks.

I have Utley third overall, so I'm fine with him third. This team looks fine overall, might be a little light on power since Youk, Jeter and Markakis are all a little light for their position.
