So what do you guys think?

My pitching is set with 5 keepers plus Ludwick for $5. I've spent $88. Need to spend 212 on bats and closers. Who to spend big bucks on?

These will be available, they won't be kept at current price.....

Hanley
A Rod
Pujols
Reyes

What should be my top bid on any of these guys?
Any and all thoughts appreciated, I'll send a mock Snuggie as compensation.

How much were these guys that they weren't being kept? What is the normal price at the auction for 1st rounders? Cause you're in Louie, does Pujols go for ridiculous amounts?

Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

This is what they will cost if kept, we add 5 per year, you can keep as long as you like.

A Roid-75
Albert-60
Reyes-61
Hanley-45 (He may be kept for that, I would)

There's no first rounders, throw out auction. Albert usually goes for the second highest amount and never gets kept. Ditto for A Roid. Reyes got to that number by being kept, don't know how Hanley went so low last year. I must have been broke by the time his name came up.

You should be throwing out all of these guys early to suck money from them so Hanley or anyone doesn't come at a bargain.

Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $45 for any of those guys. One way to go is to throw out Arod for $45 and let him go for more. Then throw out Reyes for $45 and let him go for more. And continue to do this but hold back Hanley and some money and start his bidding at $30. Then let it build to $45. He may still go for more, but it at least gives you a chance for a steal.

@Steve-Hehe, you just want me to post it again. You're just jealous.

@Grey- That's been pretty much my strategy all along, I'll bid these guys up knowing somebody's gonna overpay. Never seem to draft any of them but I want to this year. If it gets out of hand I'll fold because I've got too many holes to fill. I was kind of hoping you'd tell me to pay 65 for A Rod cause I would have done it Guru. I would have done it for you.

What's interesting is I'm throwing back a $51 Sizemore and a $47 Utley, if I can get them back cheaper it's way better than a $70 A Rod.

If Arod goes for $70, then a $47 Utley may be a bargain. If I remember correctly, you have no hitters, except Ludwick. So you definitely wanna make sure you fill up a lot of spots and don't overpay at any. One way to go might be getting all $20 players except catcher, shortstop and closers, since those are the weakest spots anyway.
