We had a draft two days ago and as we all know love is injured.

I'm trying to get love, by offering Griffin, Ellis, or Randolph.

Who would be an acceptable deal?

Well, I think it's obvious I believe Blake Griffin has more value than people think, but I'd probably say Monta Ellis is the juiciest pick of the bunch.

Yeah, your best bet is one of Griffin or Ellis, but in both cases you may need to sweeten the pot even with Love injured. Maybe offer a straight up deal first, but don't be surprised if it gets turned down. It might be easier to swing after Ellis or Griffin has a big game or two.

If you do offer some gravy with your biscuit, make sure you also target an additional player from the other team. I am not a big fan of 2:1 trades and often turn them down.

For example, you offer Griffin and a B player for Love and a C+ player.

I'm also a huge fan of this approach, but the problem is that the other manager usually wants to offer up a D player. I'll ask for better, but usually won't kill the deal over getting a guy only one tick above waivers rather than two.
