Team Ratings?

Postby AdmiralTrey » Tue Oct 26, 2010 6:22 pm

So I waited until last night and this afternoon to do my two drafts this year... Cutting it pretty close, for sure. Both teams use standard Yahoo! rules... Just interesting to see what weaknesses you spot with either team, Adam. Others' opinions are welcome, too!

Team 1 - Overpaid Joe Johnson

1. (5) Dirk Nowitzki PF
2. (20) Andre Iguodala SG,SF
3. (29) David West PF
4. (44) Stephen Jackson SG,SF
5. (53) Brandon Jennings PG
6. (68) O.J. Mayo SG
7. (77) Lamar Odom SF,PF
8. (92) Andre Miller PG
9. (101) Brendan Haywood C
10. (116) Samuel Dalembert C
11. (125) Marvin Williams SF,PF
12. (140) Steve Blake PG,SG
13. (149) Kenyon Martin PF

Team 2 - The Atlanta Hawks

1. (1) Kevin Durant SF
2. (24) Andre Iguodala SG,SF
3. (25) Al Horford PF,C
4. (48) Stephen Jackson SG,SF
5. (49) Aaron Brooks PG
6. (72) Chris Kaman C
7. (73) Andrew Bogut C
8. (96) Vince Carter SG,SF
9. (97) Beno Udrih PG
10. (120) Brendan Haywood C
11. (121) Jason Thompson PF,C
12. (144) Steve Blake PG,SG
13. (145) Marvin Williams SF,PF

I'm concerned I may have gone a little bit over board with the boards, grabbing a bunch of high rebound guys in both drafts...
I'm not sure if in Team 1, Jennings/Miller will be a strong enough pillar of assists, even with guys like Iguodala and Jackson contributing a fair amount of assists in their own right
Same issue in Team 2; not sure if Udrih/Brooks/Iguodala/Jackson/Vince will combine for enough assists to make me strong in that category. I was one pick away from actually nabbing Rondo instead of Horford... That would've been nice, despite Horford being a home town player :/

Team 1 - OJJ

Having Iggy and Jax are always bonuses, because they're so well-rounded and generally this team follows their lead.

I see what you did with Dalembert and Haywood in an attempt to shore up your blocks, but I think even if you play those guys, you'll be weak on blocks. Short of blocks, I like the balance of this team.

Team 2 -

I like this team even better. I worry about the strength of your assist guys. Brooks is fine, but I worry about Udrih being your second-best PG. How deep is your league?
