'bout time Razz does basketball!

I'm looking for SERIOUS owners for an auction/dynasty hybrid H2H points. There is no pay-out, only league fees, and we play for pride not money.

The rules are VERY detailed and for some, they may be complex, but it tries to mimic the NBA as much as possible. Please have previous auction experience (dynasty experience not required, but is a plus).

Some highlights... if interested shoot me an e-mail (luisfe [at] gmail.com) or leave a message! All of us have been playing fantasy for at least 6 years a few over 10 years and we're trying out some new rules to spice it up a bit. Looking for new blood! Hope theres interest.

League fees for the 2010 season will be $7.00, which includes all CBS fees.

The league will consist of 16 teams divided into 4 divisions with 4 teams in each division. 10 starters. 6 bench. 2 IR.

Team names will consist of an NBA franchise team of the owner’s choosing.

Black Dog Fantasy Basketball uses a H2H performance points-based system. For more details, please ask the commissioner.

The first-year auction draft will be performed live using CBS’ system on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 7pm CST (5pm PST/8pm EST), every draft after that will be performed offline via the league message board. All teams must be present during the live auction, if you’re unable to attend please do not accept the invite to join this league (unless you really want CBS to auto pick an auction draft).

The top 3 picks after the inaugural draft will NOT be auctioned off to improve league parity each year. Instead, the salary of the #1 pick will be the average of the top 10 salaries at his position, the salary of the #2 pick will be the average of the top 15 salaries in his position and the salary of the #3 pick will be the average of the top 20 salaries in his position.

Each team has an initial salary cap of $1,000.

Player salaries increase by 20% over the previous year. Therefore, there is a compounding of salaries over multiple years, so be very careful in extending expensive contracts over long lengths of time. As a guide, for every $1 in initial base salary, in year 5, that salary will be $2.07.

Instead of a veto process where fellow franchises can object if they don’t like a trade, Black Dog Fantasy Basketball will implement a 48 hour window where ALL teams will have the opportunity to offer the trading teams a better deal. If neither team agrees to a trade with another franchise, the trade will go through after 48 hours. If one of the trading teams prefers a trade from another team, he/she will have to advise the commissioner and that trade will go through immediately. The “better” trade must include the exact same players in the original trade. No players or picks can be added or taken out.
