Frieri Just Relieved Downs in 9th

Steals/Saves Ain't Got No Face. Closers and speed talk. Which MRs are moving in? Which schmohawk speedster is getting steals at MI?

Frieri Just Relieved Downs in 9th

Postby ohbilly2134 » Tue May 15, 2012 6:34 pm

Not sure what to make of this, but it looks like Frieri just got sent out with two outs in the 9th to relieve Downs after he gave up a hit to Barton.

Anything to read into this? I've been holding onto Frieri for a while because he's been too dominant to keep out of the closer role.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

If anything, this bodes well for Walden. Both of his replacements pitched in a non-save situation and he's done well since he was removed from the 9th

Anyone's guess is good right now. I'm in a similar boat and thought I'd finally gotten a save from him the other day with the 1.2 inning outing only to have them inexplicably bring in Downs for the last out with no baserunners and a 2 run lead. I about threw something through a window right there. Guy had 3K's in that 1.2 innings and no baserunners so it wasn't like he'd been struggling and they couldn't throw him a bone and let him have the save. I'm hoping they get him in that role but you never know.

Walden must have slept with Scoicopath's daughter or blew his nose in his pillow, because Walden is in the dog house right now. Kind of like when Napoli couldn't get playing time over Mathis. I don't get his coaching style sometimes.
