Hanrahan out as Nationals Closer

Steals/Saves Ain't Got No Face. Closers and speed talk. Which MRs are moving in? Which schmohawk speedster is getting steals at MI?

Hanrahan out as Nationals Closer

Postby DeadEndKid » Tue Apr 28, 2009 2:48 pm

From rotoworld:
Joel Hanrahan has been removed as the Nationals' closer.
The team is expected to go to a closer-by-committee for now, led by Julian Tavarez and Kip Wells. However, odds are that Joe Beimel will take over the job when he returns from the DL next week. Mixed leaguers should consider adding Beimel, who has the best chance at holding onto the job once healthy.

Not that the Nats produce that many save opps...

They're insisting on adding a guy who is on the DL?

I grabbed Julian in all of my leagues.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Should I drop Leo Nunez for Julian?

I know Fredi has faith in Lindstrom but another bad outing can do miraculous things to faith.

Washington brought Beimel in to compete for the closers job. Though even if he comes back as expected it will take several weeks for him to see anything resembling a save.
