I know SAGNOF and all, but my only closer right now is Aceves - and I'm hoping Lopez gets the job at somepoint..but there are zero guys available on waivers getting saves and as soon as a new guy gets the job he is gone before I wake up (like Cordero this morning)..
I know you shouldn't trade for saves but I have 3 saves so far and the leader has 17..if I don't add a closer or two I will for sure finish last..so do I try and make a trade for one? If so, what kind of deal should I offer?
Thanks as always Grey!

Not that deep of a league to not have any saves on waivers... Can try Bourjos for a terrible closer... Or Rios...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is. Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions. Is your league H2H? Roto? I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from. If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters. I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Don't know what to tell ya lol. Every guy with a closing job is owned and all guys with a shot at taking over soon are owned as well (cordero, rauch, reed, perkins, romo, adams, f rodriguez...) I guess everyone is playing the ratio game, which is cool with me except I don't want to end up last in saves..

Yeah, this is not that surprising to me. Some leagues go crazy for saves.
I'm playing in a 10 teamer and every closer is owned along with all relevant (and many not so relevant) handcuffs. All the guys on your list plus Thornton, Pestano, Robertson, Holland, Affeldt, etc. Like when Brian Wilson went down, Romo was already owned and 3 more giants relievers were claimed before the game ended. It really depends on your leaguemates. I've seen players pretty much punt starting pitching and just stream 1 starter a day, filling around them with closers/middle relievers. There will be good starters on the wire if people are holding 4-5 RP's though.
In leagues that, some players will be slow on the draw and have nothing for saves. What you want to do is get on top of those guys then punt. Maybe trade for a closer or two (preferably from teams in the middle/bottom for saves), get up on a couple players then deal those guys off to the higher teams you aren't going to catch anyways. They may be expensive to acquire, but you will be able to sell at a premium as well.
Sorry it's tough to execute, but the best advice I can give.
