Hats off to Capps

Steals/Saves Ain't Got No Face. Closers and speed talk. Which MRs are moving in? Which schmohawk speedster is getting steals at MI?

Hats off to Capps

Postby peter » Tue Jun 10, 2008 8:45 am

15 for 15 in save opportunities this year. And he's walked only 3 batters in 30 innings. And 2 of those came on opening day. Going back to 2007, he has the best percentage of save conversions in the majors. Cust kayin' the obvious, here.

He may still be under the radar for a lot of lesser owners because he plays for the Bucs and doesn't have a huge K rate. If you're making a trade, try including a lesser closer w/ your offer in exchange for Capps being throw in.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I snagged Capps as a waiver claim after his opening day loss scared his owner away. His K/BB is the best of all my pitchers, and he's taken me to the top of that category--my only 9 in pitching, too. Great closers on bad teams all the way

You know, part of me knew that as soon as I posted this something bad would happen.

Just now: Capps gets sent out for the third consecutive day, and gives up a 2 run HR to Milledge. Classic.

Seriously. That's almost as bad as when I killed Sidney Pollack.

Didn't you write something about J. Shields earlier today? I think the Angels just took him, too.
