Fowler Ain't Got No Steals... Why not?
The dude went from stealing 43 bases in 99 games in the minors and 27 bases in 135 games in the majors to only having 13 steals last year and only 2 so far this year. Did he and Pablo Sandoval trade meal plans and exercise routines this winter? Does anyone know what's going on with his speed deficiency?

The Rockies announcers were saying they think his foot is pointed the wrong way. I'm not sure, to watch him though he is very fast.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but speaking of SB guys, does anyone remember the last time Brett Gardner stole a base?? I know his AVG/OBP has turned a sharp corner, but between him and Tabata, my SB category is noticeably empty most weeks...

Gardner was CS twice last week. Last successful sb was May 8. has 4 others all in april (3 in the first 7 days). Last year he averaged 1/10 ab was a stolen base (and years prior with less ab). This year is worse than 1/20 ab.

Tabata is just under 1/10 ab this year (currently 11/120) but had a hamstring issue slowing him down the last two weeks. He now has two since Friday.

I see improvement already from Tabata, and the SBs should come...what about Gardner, though?? I thought with his increased OBP we might see a return to last year's SB pace??

That sounds like something he ought to be able to fix in theory... I guess I'll just have to watch for a spurt from him and add him if he starts looking good again. Thanks, Grey!
