I've left him on the bench for four straight starts, missed out on more ugly ratios but one W (I think I'm remembering that right), and maybe a 2nd one depending on tonight's outcome. At home vs. TEX finally pitches, wha?! not just six but SIX & 2/3 whole innings? six hits, 1ER, 1BB, 5K's. Loaded the bases in the 7th before Mijares got him out of the jam. Not supreme brilliance but more like the pitcher I expected this season.

Is it finally safe to put him back into the starting pitcher rotation? Next week he's at SEA. Was feeling pretty good about him this evening 'til he couldn't retire Max Ramirez to walk the bases full in the 7th.

Then again, maybe he's nothing better than a middle-of-the-road/slightly-above-average SP on a slightly above average team? Is that the definition of yawnstipating?

I'd start him vs. the Mariners next week.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

He's one of those guys who always looks better in the metrics then he actually is. I'm a numbers guy so I tend to buy into him every year. This year I was smart and dropped him early. It's not that he's a bad pitcher, he is just inefficient with his pitches. This year, however, there is some concern that his surgery is throwing off his control. Without control, Slowey is of minimal value. I would not start him against Seattle or anyone else for that matter right now.
