Iannetta Called Up

Postby Oregon Nut Cups » Tue May 25, 2010 12:50 pm

Obviously this is of importance to me for the upside. Goodbye, John 'What the' Buck.

Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.

Then I guess I'll join you and say goodbye to Olivo too. This doesn't bode well for either one of Colorado's catchers at this point.

This obviously hurts Olivo's value and I have him in 2 leagues. Both are 12 team leagues.

Ruiz and Iannetta are available in one league. Montero is sitting there too and he will be back soon.

The other league also has Ruiz and Iannetta available with Montero and Santana in the FA pool as well.

Varitek and AJ are both there too but I'm not really feeling those guys.

Hmmmm...

I am in a daily lineup changes roto league where I own Olivo. I just picked up Ianetta (dropped Pagan) so hopefully I can platoon them. Going to be a pain but the two catchers combined should end up as a top ten overall catcher.

Weekly lineup leagues, I feel you pain. Kills both guys value in those leagues.

To the poster above, grab Santana while you can!

I just dropped Peavy for Santana. I still have plenty of pitching so it's all good. I am going to follow Grey's advice and hope someone picks him up and gets poisioned, haha.

I'll hold on to Olivo for now in the other league and see what happens. I don't have the roster space to carry 2 catchers.

1 C league and I own Barajas and need batting avg. bad, would Iannetta warrant a grab?

I just do not see him becoming full time but I I need all the roster space I can get and would rather have a call up flier than Iannetta in a reserve spot.

Iannetta will not help your BA...ever...he's a .240~.260 avg with 15~20HR power type with good OBP skills and alotta whiffs. As you can see from my team (Reynolds, Uggla, Iannetta), I really dig guys who have high OBP and low contact skills. I don't know what the fetish is nor why I have it but I obviously enjoy 0/3 with 1 BB/3 K stat lines.

So with Barajas already and AJ and a few other C as FA, I might be better served to grab a Cashner, Alvarez, Carter, or whoever over Iannetta I guess.
