I nabbed him to sit on my bench until his luck turns (terrible BABIP with a good LD%) assuming there should be no fear of a send down or Chris Davis resurrection. How much of an 'ass' did I make of 'u' and 'me' by assuming? I lost Travis Snider after a month and a half of great walk rates and terrible BA only to see him take off and I don't want to do the same with Smoak if there's no imminent danger.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.

The metrics scream breakout, but I'm not so sure. I own him in several leagues and I'm hoping he turns it on. However, I've watched him at the plate quite a bit this season and those line drives aren't exactly screamers. He seems like he throws the bat at the ball to avoid striking out. He connects, but genrally without much success. I'd hold him if you afford the space, but I could understand if you need to waiver him.

This kid already looks like a polished hitter, and I think he's worth a roster spot for home games. His metrics do scream "break-out", and even if your expectations are tempered you should still expect a noticable improvement.
