Who is at the top of everyone's potential June 1st Call Ups?

SP's - Strasberg, Chapman, Bumgarner

Position Players - C. Santana, Alverez, Stanton, Wallace

Does this look like the cream of the crop? Am I missing a potential impact callup? Should any of these guys not be on this list?

I doubt Chapman makes the jump that early. I'd say you're dead on with the rest with Strasburg, Stanton and Alvarez being the cream of the crop. I wouldn't rule out Tabata or Posey as contributors.

Yeah, I can't imagine Chapman being called up over Travis Wood right now, with the control issues that he's got.

Santana has been mashing in AAA. He can't be far off now. The Indians need his bat.

Agreed, but I just don't know what kind of impact he makes in that lineup. He'll not only have to be a spark, he'll have to be the offense.

Strasburg, yes. Chapman? No. The Reds, surprisingly, are doing really good right now. Chapman has very bad control issues right now and the Reds rotation doesn't need more of that. Arroyo, Leake, Cueto, Harang, and Bailey, when he comes off the DL, is holding that rotation down. I think we may not even see Chapman there. Tabata and Wallace are also prime candidates to come up. Stanton is definitely coming up. Where he fits in, I have no idea, but he will be called up. I'm interested to see how Durango does in San Diego. I also think that Adrew Cashner will be brought up in the Cubs bullpen.

Stras, Stanton, Alvarez, Wallace, Santana all seem like locks to me. Don't expect to see Buster or Chapman until much later...

I'm thinking Stras, Stanton, Wallace, and Santana in June. Bumgarner, Alvarez and Posey in July perhaps, but Alvarez could be even longer depending on how he perfoms at AAA and how Walker and LaRoche perform in the bigs. Chapman may be August or even September.

The Cubs seem like they don't want to mess with Cashner by moving him to the pen ... unless they become really desperate.

Tabata's timing depends on many factors ... could be as late as September 1.
