Is on FA in my league, as he probably should be. Demoted to AAA, and in his first start there, was reportedly throwing 97, struck out 10, walked 1 in 8 innings of shutout ball. Is he worth a speculative add, hoping for a top 50 pitcher when he returns? I know one of his problems was his velocity, and it sure seemed he got over that issue. He will definitely be back before mid-June, so is this a move to make. For me, it would be dropping Holland for him.

i heard about his AAA start as well and thought the same thing. realistically though, i think im going to wait to see what he does in his first start back. its a risk, but so is picking him up right now strictly off speculation. remember just how bad he was? i hate him in the AL.

I definitely wouldn't add him yet if it were me. Yes, it's a promising sign but give it at least another AAA start or two or maybe even see a major league start before adding. I don't think he's going to be flying off your league's free agent board anyways.

He's a little too wild. He has great stuff, but gets entirely too flustered with runners on. I wouldn't touch him until I see if the demotion does any good. That being said, if you like his K's and your league is deep and active, he's not the worst spec pick.
