Hold on to Scherzer?

Postby Loudpack » Sun May 16, 2010 3:13 pm

14-team, H2H mixed, 5x5 league (OBP & QS instead of AVG & Wins); 18 Roster spots.

Can I afford to have Scherzer take up a bench spot while he works things out in AAA? I'm short on starts this coming week and am thinking of dropping Scherzer for Latos's (@ $8 of FAAB) two favorable starts this week? (Remaining SPs are Hanson, Shields, Lilly, Colby Lewis).

Thanks.

Lose him, grab Latos.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Tommy Hanson? James Shields? If so, both those guys are way better than Scherzer. I would pick them up in that order: Hanson and then Shields, then Latos (all better than Scherzer). Just doesn't seem right that those guys are available in a 14 team league. Makes no sense.

I think he's saying who the remaining pitchers are on his team. In a 14 team league, I don't think Shields or Hanson are available.

My bad, I guess you are saying Hanson and Shields are your other pitchers. Yes Latos over Scherzer.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

And yes, I was saying that those are the other pitchers on my roster. They definitely aren't available on the wire.
