Carlos Lee's Value

Postby SwaggerJackers » Thu May 13, 2010 6:24 pm

Carlos Lee is on the decline mentally (see his recent comments about retiring) and physically (see his stats). I don't want him for the rest of the season. What is his value in the marketplace for a trade at this point? What caliber of player should I target for a trade? I'll throw out a couple names:

Pence
Prado
Rios
Damon
10 Team Auction Roto, 5 Keepers
Batting: HR, OBP, R, RBI, SB
Pitching: WHIP, ERA, K, SV, QS

C:
1B:
2B: Cano ($21)
3B:
SS:
2B/SS:
1B/3B:
OF: Bautista ($10), Gomez ($11), Myers ($4)
UTIL:
Bench:
DL:

SP: Jo-Fer ($4)
RP:
Bench:
DL:

Pence - Huh? Prior to this week Pence was Lee. You want to trade an Astro for an Astro?

Prado - Yawn

Rios - If you think Rios is going to maintain this level of production all season I think this is a reasonable trade.

Damon - You're looking to trade Carlos Lee in decline for Damon? That's an ironic twist. If you're dying for a 10/10 outfielder you can definitely make this trade.

Personally I wouldn't trade Lee for any of these guys. Guys say stupid things when they're losing. Everyone always says, wait until it warms up in Arlington. It warms up in Houston too ya know.

You'd be lucky to get Rios.
