Headley vs. Freese. Take your pick.
Freese (never batted below .300 in any season including the minors) has the benefit of batting 5th behind $50 million worth of hitters whereas Headley has the somewhat longer track record.

average--push

homers--Freese

rbis--Freese

runs--Headley

steals--Headley

both play in pitchers parks and Freese hits in a MUCH better lineup. However, Headley is a constant in the 4 hole and will probably score plenty of more runs and obviously gets the better of David in steals. At gunpoint i go with Headley but its closer than you might think.

Headley was considered a blue chip prospect a coupe years ago ... Freese was never at that level. Headley is also a year younger with more major league experience. For those reasons, I'd go with Headley ... and I don't think it's all that close.

I'll take Freese. Both are due for some regression due to ridiculous .400+ BABIP's but I like Freese's lineup much better and he's not playing in Petco 1/2 the year.
