I picked this guy up in late June and all he has done is dominate. He pitches in a park that favors the pitchers, walks very few, and has been averaging over 8 K's per 9. I've also read reports that his 92-94 mph gas is sneaky fast, as it seems like its 98 because he hides the ball so well. His hammer is also a legimate strikeout pitch.
So...is Ricky's hot streak a flash in the pan or a sign of things to come.
Do you see him capable of putting up a 200 inning, 3.50 ERA, 180 K, 1.25 WHIP season in 2009?

Haven't had a chance to see him pitch yet but his stats sure like they're for real.
His WHIPs for June and July are 1.19 and 1.03 respectively. K/BB ratios are 29/7 and 37/5.
I've owned him in a 10 team league for 4 starts now - including the 13K game he just threw against the Rockies.
He's a safe enough bet for this year. Hard to say after that...

I think his major drawback is his health, which is impossible to predict other than to say he's risky for next year.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is. Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions. Is your league H2H? Roto? I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from. If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters. I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
