Arrieta

Postby rightwingjedi » Thu Apr 29, 2010 3:21 pm

So with the O's sinking up the joint, does anyone think Arrieta gets a shot before Sept?

My brother saw him pitch and said if he keeps his control in the bigs like he is showing this year in the minors, he is a beast.

He is just sitting on the WW staring at me and Thursday is the day every week I snag a flier through the weekend.

This week it is between Arrieta and Starlin.

I don't like letting hitters scoot by but I think Arrieta has a bigger impact this season barring a Cubs MI injury. Always gotta wonder about any rookie pitching in the AL East though. The biggest jump possible from AAA.

Yup, for sure. My brother said this dude was unreal. He said he was pitching like a 30 year old vet and making some decent hitters look foolish.

According to some probabyl bogus ESPNChicago.com report, Castro's call-up is right around the corner. I think Chad Millman must be trying to report again...

From what I've read about him being really a two-pitch pitcher, I wouldn't be surprised to see Baltimore use him in the bullpen. Chris Tillman just put his name back on the map with that no-hitter (and a new cutter) and they've got a lot of young starting pitchers.

Just my .02. I hear Arrieta's throws hot fire, so I'd love to see him up in the bigs in whatever capacity.
