When Hoffman blew his 2nd save against the Cardinals, he didn't even throw a change up. Then, he throws change ups to Doumit, who sits on them and rips them out. It doesn't look like he has a pitch that's working.
Safe to say Hoffman is on his way out of the closer role.
"That’s two days in a row for him," manager Ken Macha said to MLB.com after the game. "Tomorrow, if we have a chance to win it, perhaps it will be somebody else at the end.”
