Who is this guy?

I see that he has hit for a lot of power in the minors and has carried it over to the bigs. He looks like he's starting everyday now. Is he like a righthanded Luke Scott type?

He's only playing because Ankeil's banged up. If you have dead weight on your bench take a flier on him, but don't expect it to last.

Best case scenario, platoon with Skip Schumaker against right and Mather against left.

He had a real long swing in the minors and cut it down at the advice of Dave Ricketts. Hit 34 homers last year because of it, so yeah, maybe he gets it now.

Ludwick's still the guy I want if he's available or tradeable for.

Being from Tony LaRussa's Baseball Acadmemy here in the heartland, I've learned not to fall in love with these on the fence outfield types. Mather is a big dude, swings from his heels and definitely passes the eye test, but he'll play against lefties and nothing else is guaranteed. NL only, sure why not. Mixed leaguers, highly doubt it.
